I really loved the old buildings in Madrid and Spain in general.  They are so interesting, many of which were beautifully adorned with interesting architecture, design or painted exteriors.

This building is halfway between the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, across from a large candy/cookie store that is any kid's dream (the nougat was by far my favorite!!).  The painted details on this building, as well as in the Plaza Mayor itself were stunning!
