This is a picture of a door, on a cathedral in Cordoba. I don't remember which one...just one of the random churches/cathedrals we walked by. All were amazingly beautiful, each with it's own style. This one was unique in that the details were quite different compared to the traditional styles found on most Catholic churches. It had a more Arabic-style from when the Muslims were in Spain. I can't remember how old this particular church was, but we were in the old quarters within the city walls...so I'm guessing 15th or 16th century.
What do I know...I'm no history buff and will not pretend to be. All I know is that it was pretty...so I took a picture.
Enjoy!
Nice pic !!!!!!!!!! Me likes it!
ReplyDeleteNice door and nice picture of the door. At first glance I thought it was the Star of David, but the stars on the door have 8 points not 6 as the Star of David.
